TPS 1500 Thermal Conductivity System

The affordable Hot Disk Transient Plane Source TPS 1500 shares the sterling quality, robustness and operative simplicity of the benchmark Hot Disk TPS 2500 S. The flexible TPS 1500 Thermal Conductivity Instrument is designed for analyzing thermal transport properties covering a wide range of materials of various dimensions. The TPS 2500 S and TPS 1500 Thermal Conductivity Systems are the only Transient Plane Source (TPS) Method to meet a testing standard (ISO/DIS 22007-2.2).

The patented Hot Disk TPS technique, which is celebrating over twenty years of development and more than 200 clients worldwide– is highly appreciated for its ability to simultaneously determine thermal conductivity, thermal diffusivity and specific heat capacity from a single measurement, with limited emphasis on sample preparation. When utilizing optimally designed TPS sensors, the TPS 1500 Thermal Conductivity System serves as a robust tool for tests of solids, powders, pastes and foams. If larger samples are available, also high-conducting metals or ceramic materials can be tested.

The Hot Disk TPS 1500 is designed as a reliable workhorse instrument for materials R&D, enabling the user to test materials such as concrete, cement mixtures, plastics, woods, fibrous structures, and insulating materials readily and efficiently analyzed. The excellent accuracy and precision also makes the instrument suitable for QC testing.

The test & analysis software for the TPS 1500 Thermal Conductivity Analyzer incorporates tools for automated measurements as well as automatic temperature control of external devices. Optional software modules allow the instrument to test anisotropic samples (Anisotropic module) and tests of Cp of smaller samples (Cp module). The software also incorporates tools for exporting results to 3rd-party software (MS Excel), for additional processing or
statistical analysis.
